Description

Thymosin Alpha-1 is a synthetic 28 amino acid peptide derived from the naturally occurring thymic peptide prothymosin alpha, originally isolated from thymic tissue. It is produced endogenously by thymic epithelial cells and plays a role in T-cell development and maturation. Research has focused on its role in immunomodulatory signalling, particularly its effects on dendritic cell function, T-cell differentiation, and cytokine production pathways. Studies have also examined its role in toll-like receptor signalling and innate immune response modulation. It is supplied in lyophilised form for research purposes.
