Description
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Consisting of 7 amino acids, research has focused on its role in modulating GABA-A receptor activity, regulating brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression, and influencing serotonin metabolism.
