Description
NA-Semax is the N-acetylated form of Semax, a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of ACTH 4-7. The addition of an acetyl group at the N-terminus is intended to enhance resistance to enzymatic degradation and extend the active half-life of the compound. Research has focused on its role in BDNF and NGF expression modulation, dopaminergic and serotonergic system activity, and neuroprotective signalling pathways.
