Description

KPV is a synthetic tripeptide consisting of three amino acids (Lysine-Proline-Valine), derived from the C-terminal sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Research has focused on its role in anti-inflammatory signalling pathways, particularly its ability to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokine production and NF-κB pathway activation. Studies have examined its cytoprotective properties in gastrointestinal tissue, with particular interest in intestinal barrier function and gut inflammation research. It is supplied in lyophilised form for research purposes.
