Description

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex consisting of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine bound to a copper ion. It is found endogenously in human plasma, saliva, and urine, with plasma concentrations declining significantly with age. Research has focused on its role in wound healing mechanisms, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, angiogenesis, and antioxidant activity. Studies have also examined its role in gene expression regulation, with research identifying effects on a broad range of genes associated with tissue remodelling and anti-inflammatory pathways. It is supplied in lyophilised form for research purposes.
